On February 7 Steven Ball gave a command performance accompanying the silent film, Ben-Hur. One incident happened that Steven managed to turn from a lemon into lemonade. A few minutes into the second half, Steven stopped playing saying he couldn't adjust the solo chamber shades. It turned out that a small bracket on the swell shoe had broken. While this was being repaired, Steven gave a short talk about the movie and theatre organ history. He then opened an excellent Q&A session which was very well received by the audience. The pedal was repaired and then on with the movie!

At the end of the chariot sequence Steven got a full standing ovation from the audience. Plus, at the end of the program he received two rousing standing ovations.
