A Musical Education Experience Tailored to Fifth and Sixth Grade Students
 |
This project is funded in part by the City of McKinney through the City of McKinney Arts Commission. |
The North Texas Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society would like to offer you,
your music department or your entire school an experience no one has seen or heard in many years.
We will present a 45 minute program to your 5th and 6th grade students which would include a small
history of the Theatre Organ, what orchestral voices a Theatre Organ can produce, and possibly a silent
film accompanied by the Theatre Organ. To enable us to do this, we have constructed a digitally sampled traveling organ.

We will bring our program to your school at no charge. No bussing of students.
Our program, which can be tailored to your needs and time constraints, can be given during individual music classes
or as a school assembly program. There will be a question & answer portion and any student who wishes is more than
welcome to sit at the console and play a theatre organ.
Our program was well received at Wakefield Elementary School, Sherman TX. Mrs. Lucinda Laro, the music teacher,
was delighted with the program. The children really enjoyed seeing their music teacher playing a theatre organ.
This is your opportunity to expose your students to the American Theatre Organ which is one of only two original
American Musical Instruments. The other is the Banjo.
